This ordinance
repeals the Boundary Ordinance, Chapter 1.08 of the Los Angeles County Code and
reenacts the Chapter to codify the redistricting plan adopted by the Board of
Supervisors.

An ordinance repealing the Boundary
Ordinance, Chapter 1.08 of Title 1 - General Provisions of the Los Angeles
County Code, and reenacting it to adjust the district boundaries in accordance
with the federal decennial census as required by Elections Code Sections 21500 et
seq.
The Board of
Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles ordains as follows:
Section 1. Chapter 1.08 of Title 1 of the Los Angeles County
Code is repealed in its entirety.
Section 2. Chapter 1.08 of Title 1 of the Los Angeles County
Code is reenacted to read as follows:

SUPERVISOR DISTRICTS
1.08.010 Intent It is the intent of the Board of Supervisors in
enacting this chapter to adopt a redistricting plan in a manner consistent with
the boundary descriptions maintained by the Los Angeles County
Registrar-Recorder, and which provides fair and effective representation for
all the people of the County, enhances the opportunity for all voters to elect
candidates of their choice, and which otherwise meets all the requirements of
law.
