A 57-year old grandmother named Mary Ella Shoupe was strangled by an intruder in her home El Segundo on Sunday, September 10, 2000. Her 11-year old granddaughter survived the attack and helped the police with a sketch of the suspect. The police now has a composite drawing of the suspect and the City has just posted a $25,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the suspect.
I, THEREFORE, MOVE that the Board of Supervisors post an additional $10,000 reward for this crime.
