TRAFFIC REGULATIONS
SUPERVISORIAL DISTRICTS 1, 2, AND 5

IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT YOUR BOARD:
1. Adopt a traffic regulation order prohibiting parking for commercial vehicles weighing more than 10,000 pounds between 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m., on both sides of Hill Drive between Arland Avenue and San Gabriel Boulevard, South San Gabriel area (Supervisorial District 1).
2. Rescind a traffic regulation order prohibiting parking between 6:30 a.m. and 8:00 a.m., Saturdays and Sundays excepted, on both sides of San Pedro Street between Rosecrans Avenue and Alondra Boulevard, Rosewood area (Supervisorial District 2).
3. Adopt a traffic regulation order prohibiting parking between 6:30 a.m. and 8:00 a.m., Saturdays and Sundays excepted, on the west side of San Pedro Street between a point 240 feet south of the south curb line of Redondo Beach Boulevard and Avalon Boulevard, Rosewood area (Supervisorial District 2).
4. Adopt a traffic regulation order prohibiting parking between 6:30 a.m. and 8:00 a.m., Saturdays and Sundays excepted, on the east side of San Pedro Street between a point 70 feet south of the south curb line of Redondo Beach Boulevard and Avalon Boulevard, Rosewood area (Supervisorial District 2).
5. Adopt a traffic regulation order prohibiting parking for commercial vehicles weighing more than 6,000 pounds between 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m., on the south side of Ana Street between Susanna Road and Reyes Avenue, Rancho Dominguez area (Supervisorial District 2).
6. Adopt a traffic regulation order adding stop control for northbound and southbound traffic on Silica Drive at Foxholm Drive, Palmdale area (Supervisorial District 5).
PURPOSE OF RECOMMENDED ACTION
This action will provide appropriate regulations for the safe and efficient flow of traffic and accommodate the needs of adjacent properties.
JUSTIFICATION
Engineering investigations by Public Works revealed that the removal or installation of traffic controls will improve traffic safety, enhance traffic flow, and better serve adjacent properties.
FISCAL IMPACT
Sufficient funds are included in the Department's Road budget to cover the minor cost of removing and installing the necessary signs and markings.
FINANCING
Financing is not required.
FACTS AND PROVISIONS/LEGAL REQUIREMENTS
The California Vehicle Code authorizes the Board of Supervisors to implement these traffic regulations, which are required prior to enforcement by the California Highway Patrol and Sheriff's Department.
IMPACT ON CURRENT SERVICES (OR PROJECTS)
Not applicable.
NEGATIVE DECLARATION/ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORTS
The establishment of these regulations, including the installation of related traffic control devices required to notify the motoring public, is categorically exempt under Class I-(X)7 of the Environmental Guidelines approved by your Board.
