IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT YOUR BOARD:

PURPOSE OF RECOMMENDED ACTION

This action provides for the transfer and acceptance of drainage facilities known as PD No. 2050 constructed as part of Tract No. 31250 into the County flood control system for operation and maintenance.

JUSTIFICATION

The transfer and continued maintenance of PD No. 2050 by the LACFCD provides for public health and safety to residents within Tract No. 31250 and visitors to the area.

FISCAL IMPACT

No negative fiscal impact.

FINANCING

Maintenance for PD No. 2050 will be funded with Flood Control District funds. There will be no increase in net County cost.

FACTS AND PROVISIONS/LEGAL REQUIREMENTS

The developer of the subject Tract has constructed PD No. 2050 to the satisfaction of the Director of Public Works. The Director of Public Works, as Chief Engineer of the LACFCD, reviewed and approved the facilities for transfer. Under the provisions of Section 13-3/4 of the Los Angeles County Flood Control Act, these facilities may be transferred to the LACFCD.

IMPACT ON CURRENT SERVICES (OR PROJECTS)

No adverse impacts.

NEGATIVE DECLARATION/ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORTS

This transfer is categorically exempt from the provisions of CEQA, as specified in Class 1(u) of the revised Environmental Document Reporting Procedures and Guidelines adopted by your Board on November 17, 1987, Synopsis 57, and Section 15301 of the CEQA Guidelines.

CONCLUSION

At such time as this recommendation is adopted, please return a copy of this letter to the Department of Public Works, Building and Safety/Land Development Division.
